If you haven't taken a look at Mixx.com, you really should. The atmosphere over there is one of the best that I had the pleasure of experiencing on a social news website. The regulars there are great and the site in general has a peaceful feel to it. There is no drama like you find on Digg.com or other social news sites.

I registered for Mixx when it was still in beta last fall, and shortly after I had settled in it went public. They have added some very cool features to the already uncluttered pages. Just recently, they added inter-user and group messaging. You can now send mail through the site to other users. You can even create a multi-user conversation with it, which is very nice, it makes Mixx that much more personal in my opinion.
