iminta is a social networking aggregator that pulls all of your social activities into one convenient place so that your friends can keep up with you and comment on items pulled from other social media services.
iminta is not a replacement for the social sites that you visit, it simply consolidates everything.
Today I got a first hand look inside of iminta as well as had the pleasure of corresponding with Aaron Newton of iminta.com regarding what iminta is planning over the next couple of months.
While iminta.com is currently in beta you can request a beta invitation and take a look at the service.
Not only can you add your favorite social networking sites, iminta also has the ability to add other items such as news items, reviews, music, video, photos, blogs, friends, etc. Much like a bookmark service but a bit simpler than say Del.icio.us or StumbleUpon. Note that iminta is mainly for pulling all of your social activities into one place and allowing your friends to view, comment and share with you.
Currently you can pull your posted items from YouTube, del.ici.ous, digg, yelp, last.fm, flickr, twitter, reeddit, webshots and google reader. I was told that addtional services will be added soon such as: Facebook, StumbleUpon, LinkedIn, MySpace, Mixx as well as others to be announced at a later time.

iminta only requires your profile user name (no passwords required) to pull your items into your iminta profile, so setting up the service is very simple and straightforward.
You can also add your friends to different groups you create and decide what each group can see in your profile. The system also has a filtering system so that you or your friends can filter out items that doesn't interest them.

As I mentioned earlier you can also add items outside of your social content if you like and once again iminta makes the process very simple.

I think that the folks at iminta are on to something useful and unique. From what I have seen so far the service should become very popular, especially for busy social networkers.
I will have more on the servce in the upcoming months so stay tuned!
