jaanix feature - push to twitter

jaanix is a new and unique social bookmarking application that recently launched to the public. It's latest feature roll out is the ability to push your submitted bookmarks to your twitter feed. This feature is accessible via the user profile settings.

jaanix sets itself apart from other social bookmark applications in several ways. While jaanix does has submission voting and comments, the way jaanix approaches is it quite different. Items appear on the front page based on "jaa's" (upvoting) and "nix" (down voting), jaanix also has a recommender that a user can adjust to show more or less of a tag or topic. This feature allows a user to see more or even less of a tag/topic.

Give jaanix a try, I think you will find it easy to use and very interesting. I have been quite surprised at the number of referrals I have received from my jaanix submissions.

Update March 3, 2008 - jaanix just announced a push to del.icio.us bookmarks feature. You can have your jaanix bookmarks sync on your del.icio.us profile.

As a personal bookmarks service, saving a site is almost as quick as Instapaper, but of course is 'permanent'. The layout and presentation is also perfect for re-finding past favourites, especially as the attached images are optional and everything is clear and clean.

As a traffic building, or social voting tool - my jury is still out to lunch. I've yet to test jaanix in this capacity, but it looks to be worth it.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. jaanix is a very useful (and interesting) bookmarking tool. I've made it on of my regular bookmark tools. The only issue I have had is getting used to spelling the name "jaanix" without misspelling it other than that it has been smooth sailing.

It's a bookmarking service, however it does have some social features like voting and commenting.
