alltop officially launched today
Guy Kawasaki's news aggregator alltop is not longer in beta and is officially open to the public. alltop is similar to popurls, however the site takes a different approach by categorizing the news into categories rather than a single page approach. As always Guy is into many things at once, but I think alltop is going to become quite popular very quickly.

topicle search beta launch
topicle is a community generated search site. users can submit sites to be added to the topicle index rather than a search spider indexing sites across the web. topicle leverages users expertise to build a highly relevant search site.
from the topicle website
"Our goal is to enable users to easily find more relevant information on the Internet, with you - the Topicle community - as experts. We want to generate more precise and useful search results with sources recommended by humans than solely with computer-generated algorithms.
With Topicle, you can create a new vertical search engine with a few clicks. In Topicle's world, a vertical search engine is a topic search engine, like Digital Camera Reviews, Parenting or Diabetes. Each Topicle search engine only searches handpicked URLs, instead of the whole Web."

Searchme: A New Visual Search Engine (private beta)
"Searchme does look good, resembling a mashup of Google with Apple’s (AAPL) popular Cover Flow three-dimensional graphical user interface used on its iTunes service, with a little of Ask.com’s categories thrown in." - All Things Digital
